Hello all my ostomates, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July and had a chance to see some fireworks and celebrate or at least have something on the BBQ and some beer to go with it! Sadly, I fizzled out early, heard some noise in the sky but found the couch more appealing. Does this mean I'm getting old? Lol!

My last blog talked about frequently "adjusting" and feeling my bag to make sure it wasn't too full or needed to be emptied. I had some pretty humorous comments, needless to say, even one that said that I might have "penis envy!" I'm looking into therapy now (thanks a lot, just kidding!)

I did mention this in my last blog, but I think it's worth repeating, and I do believe this in my heart, even though the sky was alit with all the stars and fireworks last night, none of us ostomy veterans should ever lose sight that we will always be the brightest stars that will far outshine any fireworks of any day! :-)

Cheers!

See, now this is a good attitude. You, my dear, are the fireworks and may just become a beacon for others to see.

Good Evening Bob and All,

I checked my email and saw new postings. That's when I usually visit the site. I've recently met a few others who have developed UC and have made contact with them. I've directed them to this site. I also use the site to look up concerns they or I have. This site has been unusually helpful to me. I have seen questions and concerns of others posted. After I scroll down and see similar comments that I would make, I don't comment. As for social media interest, I have a Facebook account (due to work). As of this date, I have one Facebook Friend (and don't even know how that happened). I find the content here more relevant to my life. Then again, I'm old school. If I want to see how a friend is doing I just make a call.

Stay Safe and Sane all. Back to the hockey game,
