Very nice indeed. Have you looked at Stealthbelt? Online. Best thing I ever did. 15 years with Ileostomy. I have been wearing a Stealthbelt for 14 1/2 -24/7.

Wear my pouch horizontally, no difference when emptying. Comfortable and confidence builder and helps disguise your pouch.

Hi truleigh, can you point those of us in the UK in the direction of those websites you've found, please? I have a few tops that work for me, but dresses are another thing entirely now that my size 10 body-con days are over!

Thanks!

I absolutely agree. I have lots of pretty floaty  dresses for summer in jewel colours and all my winter clothes are now reds, orange, pinks (lots of pinks and mauves) and I have matching silky scarves to cover the expanding bump before I can get to the bathroom. I am quite old but after the shock of the surgery I decided I would just go for it and be seen.  I like caftans too as long as they are pretty colours! In London they have an annual ‘Colour Walk’ where people show off their brightly coloured clothes. It’s all sorts - disabled, abled, old and young and it’s an amazing sight!

That's why we survived all the terrible illnesses to get a chance to live and be bold.

Yes, I agree it takes time to feel better about how we look and not think everyone can see it bulging out, and then there's the fear of it bursting.

Personally, I never wear white, but I love color.

Actually, I think dresses hide a lot, but obviously not bodycon.

I love jeans, but I found there's more chance they will burst, and that's awful.

Women have more options than men.

I just say have fun choosing clothes, and the confidence will build.

Exercise in my local pool is very beneficial because any movement is kinder on your body, and the swimsuits are quite forgiving.

I bought some bottoms from a stoma website; that's nice because it's not nice to have a cold wet bag against your skin.

All the best from Ruth, Mumbles, Wales.

Absolutely stunning and appropriate for the occasion.

Don't worry too much about trying to cover it with a scarf.

It's great to have, just in case.

Sometimes trying to cover, might draw attention to the thing you are trying to hide.

Just go to the loo, slightly more often and the day before eating lots of carbs and granola or oats, because this should make the out put much thicker and less chance of it bursting, mine bursts when it's super watery.

All the best for you, enjoy your special day.

Ruth from the mumbles in Wales UK.
