Hi Ms Lady, I've had my urostomy now for 3 years and find the presence of mucus a real problem re adhesives.  Have yet to determine what constitutes an excess.  My specialists tells me I could reduce it by having less milk products.  I now use a two piece bag and remove the bag to wash off the mucus morning and night.

Thank you Cornet. I am now removing the bag several times daily and cleaning the mucus off. A real nuisiance to deal with. Guess I am just letting it bug me along with all the other things i am trying to adjust to. I am lactose intolerant so don't consume milk.
