I just passed some gas into my bag. Well, I looked in the bag (I have a clear one while awaiting for my others to get here in the mail) because today my ostomy has been extra productive, so I wanted to know if it needed to be changed. Well, I then passed gas again and it ballooned, and right in front of my stoma, stuck to the bag, is a waxy semi-clear....something. It came out with the gas. While I can't actually feel it, through the bag it feels kinda sticky and a pliable hard...like wax or rubber cement. I'm scared what it is.

If I was a relative newbie with an ostomy, I have no doubt that this site would be very helpful to me. The members are quick to respond to questions and issues and they are filled with experience. When I joined, I already had a lifetime with an ostomy, so I just regard it as a place to meet and communicate with other folks similarly situated. Either way, it is a good site.
