Belly Button Pain after Bladder Removal Surgery - Seeking Advice

This topic is about someone who had bladder removal surgery five months ago and is now experiencing pain around their belly button area. They recently had a normal CT scan and urine test, but because their medical team is far away, they are reaching out to others for advice on what might be causing this new pain.

Here are some helpful insights and advice:

1. Describe the pain in detail. Consider using a scale from 0 to 10 to rate the intensity. Think about whether the pain feels like it's on the surface or deeper inside, if it's constant or comes and goes, and if it changes with movements like sneezing.

2. Post-surgery adhesions might cause sharp, quick pains or dull aches that get worse with movement and better with rest. If an adhesion tears, it usually just needs to be monitored.

3. Healing scar tissue and overdoing activities can also lead to similar pain months after surgery. Rest can help, but if you're worried, it's best to get it checked out by a professional.

4. Don't wait too long to seek medical advice. It's better to get an early assessment rather than waiting for the pain to become severe. Mild pain relievers like Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Advil (ibuprofen) might help for a short time, but if the pain doesn't go away or gets worse, see a doctor promptly.
