I want to discover the issues that people may have living with an ostomy. My goal is to help break down any barriers that ostomates may have in society. I have had an ileostomy for almost 35 years. Thankfully ulcerative colitis is history. The first 6 months were a challenge but excellent family support and joining a support group helped tremendously. I returned to playing softball and tennis in less than 6 months. Traveled extensively (US, Europe and Asia)when I returned to work.
