Talk to others with an Ostomy

About
I am willing to talk to anyone. My Ostomy was a complete surprise to me and I still have issues. I have constant leaks around the wound vac and constant sealing problems around the colostomy bag, mostly because it is located too close to where my belly button used to be. I have problems with the idea of going back into the public. I am hoping to find answers and support from this group. I have named my Ostomy Stinky and my surgical wound Leaky. Leaky is healing very rapidly and is almost gone, but he still leaks.

UPDATE 3/2017:The wound vac is gone. I had a granular in the wound that blocked healing for a while, but I took antibiotics for a sinus infection and they also healed the granular. When it went away, the wound healed. My wife and I refined our bag-changing techniques and got the leaks under control. That gave me a little more confidence. I have actually gone shopping with my wife and eaten out at a few restaurants. Stinky is much more well-behaved and only stinks during bag emptying sessions now. I enjoy the group so much I am saving up to convert to a lifetime membership.
