I've been living within 55 miles of Savannah, GA for close to 30 yrs. Originally from NY. I have 2 grown daughters & I have 3 grandbabies (2 girls & 1 boy) that are very important to me & light up my world!I have a Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration with a focus in longterm care & seriously considering going back to school to further my knowledge in Healthcare. I worked 24 yrs in the Financial & Insurance industry.
I've had some recent health issues & struggles, but I'm on track for a better & healthier lifestyle. I've been an ostomate since 2013...and it's been an interesting journey to say the least. I have faced a lot of skin issues & learned a lot over the 10 yrs of having a colostomy (I've gone from a sigmoid to an ascending colostomy in that time).
I'm part Sicilian, so I love to cook & pretty darn good at it, if I do say so myself! I love animals (I have a cockapoo pup named Sunni). I enjoy photography, gardening, diy projects, a good book, meeting people, learning new things and good conversations!
Hoping to meet others who can understand being an ostomate, making new friends...& maybe more. Also, I have a lot of helpful knowledge to share for new ostomates (or anyone having issues with their ostomy).
