I've been an ostomate since 1976 - I was 18.I would be glad to share my experiences thru the years. I am a gay man, living a full life in general. I am, and always have been active outdoors and in different sports. I've learned that sometimes bad things happens to good people. And you have to learn to not be embarrassed about your condition - that's a lot easier said than done. After 41 years I know there is no difference in a normal life with or with out an ostomy. Only your own embarrassment and feelings will prevent you from living a full and happy life
