A year and a half ago, I had an ileostomy done and became a widow at about the same time. I never thought that I'd meet a man willing to be with an ostomate. Boy, was I wrong!I met the greatest man a month and a half ago while I was fishing—that's fishing for fish, hehe, not a man. We spent the day fishing side by side; he was a widower, and we became friends.I think I met my soulmate... I am 62, and this man makes me feel so loved and like a kid again. Meeting the right person is just so wonderful...I wanted to share this with the group to give others hope...Never give up; you just never know where you'll meet the bestpartner of your life.

You are so right. I will never forget this website and the people who have helped me. I had my reversal in January of 2014. I try and come on this website weekly to see if I can help or encourage other individuals get through the day-to-day process of life.

You people are so awesome! I love your kind words and all the hope you offer. Thanks so much. And Rachel, that makes a lot of sense about profile views. I never thought of that. I wonder why so few people actually sign up. It's free for basic membership. I was just losing hope with the free membership, so I decided to get my platinum card (LOL). It sure has helped me to contact other members and make new friends. Thanks again for everyone's words of hope. I haven't given up yet; I just like to make a joke out of it so it's easier to live with (the loneliness).
