I just wanted to let everyone know about a site I found. It has information on just about any kind of ostomy problems. It has some really good information. http://www.colostomyuk.org/information/stoma-problems/rectaldischarge/  Hope this will help some of you it will be worth your time to check it out.

Thank you for your quick reply. I'll discuss irrigation with my doctor. I'm sure it would be down the road. My output is still very liquid. It's all so unpredictable at 6 weeks post-op. I have such a fear of constipation as I struggled with this forever. I used a fiber source to thicken the stool but it hasn't helped very much. I guess I will continue to be positive but it is a bit of a pain. This website is great and everyone is so informative. Cheryl

Hi Bill if you click on the right side on the green boxes there is a lot of info on a lot of other subjects also.

I have surfed their site on occasions before and found the information very useful.

They are also willing to give advice to people who need it.
