Following on from when I saw the endocrinologist, a letter has been sent to my GP detailing the next steps he wishes me to take.
Start on Metformin (liquid as I just cannot swallow horse pills!) and reduce insulin accordingly, and double my HRT patch as it seems that I am estrogen deficient....
So I started this on Friday - the change in output was amazing - became very black, very loose, and increased in volume; was also peeing for Britain! Had a couple of bags off over the next couple of days, but the final straw came when it burst when I was out for lunch .... had it running down my leg walking through Marks & Spencer's and by the time I had driven home, it was heading for my shoes! Urgh .... henceforth, no more Metformin will be taken by me! (Did reduce my blood sugars though a little ....)
