DISTORTION – STOMAS.
Twisted intestines is called torsion
which, of course, is a distortion
of the intestinal tract
where sometimes faeces can compact.
Sometimes twists are volvulus
and can happen to the best of us,
especially when the colon is
more likely to come amiss.
People with stomas may have had
colons that were somehow bad
and needed pulling through their side
in order for the pooh to slide.
I can reliably report
these operations can distort
any remaining colon and
it cannot pulls and twists withstand.
A hernia is often formed
because the surgeries performed
have left the torso vulnerable
and hernias' inescapable.
All sorts of distortions might come
from the removal of your bum
to be replaced by stomas where
we need to take a lot of care.
For when person’s guts twist round
it is very often found
that any residual weakness will
resurrect to make you ill.
Even when stomas are reversed
patients are very often cursed
with weakness from the surgeries,
scar tissue and injuries.
Distorted colons are the price,
which sometimes are not very nice.
