Total BB surgery last October, was healed and released from wound care on 4/28. (Yes, it took that long 🤦‍♀️; I had a very stubborn wound that wouldn't heal, not in the same spot as this bleeding FYI.
Three days ago, I noticed very light bleeding from my rectum, which lasted a few hours and hasn't returned since. The last couple of days after that happened, my butt has been sore. I snapped a photo and didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. The “pain” doesn't affect my day-to-day life, but I'll notice it here and there. I know it's a vague post; just curious what you think it is. Scratched it? I'm worried about something larger like an abscess; would I know if it was an abscess?
The day before the bleeding, I walked all day long in 115-degree weather.

Ouch... I feel you. Been there... kenn butt last October 2023. Abscess formed. Blood all over. Second surgery needed. Then the knucklehead surgeon didn't prescribe an antibiotic after surgery. Third surgery required to clean out the infection!

Don't hesitate to seek medical help. You should not be leaking anything down there.

I'm surprised Warrior didn't ask to see the picture. 😁 Anyway, your incision from surgery may be bigger than you think, and it may be opening up in a different spot along the same line but for the same reason why it took so long to heal in the first place.

Hi Iliebag,

Hope this worked out for you all right, but I'm just seeing this. Having my ostomy for over a decade, I know having it can cause dehydration, so that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw you walked all day in that type of heat. Staying properly hydrated is a constant concern for us ostomates! Hope this finds you well, and God bless.
