I posted a topic, an academic research of ostomy bags, on 14th Nov. However, as it is written in Japanese, no one seems to be able to reply.

So, here I tell you the result which producer's ostomy bag is the best in terms of deodorization & venting. That is Convatec.

As soon as I read the article, I applied for the sample of Convatec's ostomy bags (two different types).

I will let you know after I try them comparing with Coloplast one.

Very helpful

Hi Bebe, Convatec is all I've ever used in my almost 40 years of having an ostomy. After surgeries, I've been sent home wearing Hollister products, but I've always gone back to Convatec.

I’ve only been on this site a little bit, I hardly know how to navigate it, LOL! I just want to say that everyone seems so kind and supportive to each of the members and it’s not only helpful, it makes me happy that there really are so many nice people in this world that can sometimes feel so bleak and cold. I didn’t even know about this site until I found it by accident. I think the hospital staff should bring it to their patients’ attention. Thanks to all, even if you’re just listening!

I'd be interested to know the results of your comparison.

I was also sent home from the hospital in Hollister but my home ostomy nurse switched me to coloplast. I've never tried convatec.

I'm about to try Coloplast pouches, but I currently use Convatec. They do not mask the smell for me. The filter does not work for that. And there are many times it fills up like a balloon! 😂

After I posted, I've tried other bags, then finally I found Dansac is the best for me!
