Hi. I had my loop ostomy reversal. Just wondering about the 4" incision going horizontally across my abdomen.

It has an indentation in it... I was wondering if my stomach will eventually be flat again in that area or will the scar always be drawn in?

Thanks.

Hi mom 🤣

Mine has diminished somewhat over the years, but certainly hasn't returned to what it was before surgery.

I was a fly on the wall for a while, before I joined the group.  I think you will find it's a good bunch of people, who understand what you are dealing with like no one else could.  Glad you found us.

Bio-oil scar treatment might help the appearance. I have a scar running into my navel, but at 72 years old, I don't care how it looks. When I was 20 years old, I had cystic acne, and strangely enough, applying Vitamin E kept me from scarring. I just bought capsules and used those on my face.

My scars are 2 years old and still dented in,

scar on one side and ileostomy on the other, double whammy.
