Accessing an Ostomy Nurse in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario

If you're looking to connect with an Enterostomal Therapy (ET) nurse or find support groups in the Kitchener-Waterloo area of Ontario, here's some helpful information to guide you:

- Local Support Group: There is a support group meeting every second Tuesday of the month at a church located on Westmount Road, just south of Erb Street, in Waterloo.

- Ask Your Surgeon or Hospital: Reach out to the surgeon or the hospital where you had your surgery. They usually have an ET nurse on staff who can provide advice and information about community resources.

- Ostomy Canada Society: Look for the Waterloo chapter of the Ostomy Canada Society. They can offer the latest details on community meetings and resources available to you.

- LHIN Services: Contact your local LHIN office. They can arrange for an ostomy (ET) nurse to visit your home and provide supplies for new ostomy patients. Typically, they offer three visits along with the necessary supplies.
