My main question is what ostomy setup you are using. Coloplast, I had issues; I couldn't even shower without my bag lifting halfway off. Sure Seal never worked. I now use Convatec convex Surfit moldable wafer, the best item. I can even swim and shower without it coming off. If it does lift a bit, I use a heating pad or hair dryer to press it back down. Even with doing that, I still get 7-day wear time. It's rare when it lifts. Ostomy swim wrap might help you too.

I use Coloplast with no problems, but this isn't the first time I've seen a complaint about their adhesive coming off. My ostomy nurse had me using skin bonding cement with the Coloplast, and I think that's the reason it holds so well for me.

I am scheduled for my reversal on 12/4. All my pre-admin stuff is completed and my GI signed off on the clearance letter this morning. I am super excited and looking forward to not having a bag. I just hope all goes well and heals well so I don't wake up with a temp bag which will lead to yet another surgery.

I have learned a lot from this website and will continue to be on here even after surgery. To all the ostomates out there, keep your heads up and keep pressing forward. We all have good and bad days. Best of luck to you all.

I will be sure to post my progress after surgery. I'm praying for you all.
