My doctor told me to take Pepcid for a couple weeks to reduce stomach acid, possible GERD issues. After 3 days, having stomach issues and ileostomy output is not normal. Anyone else with an ileostomy run into problems taking Pepcid?

It was my hospital's go-to for reflux & heartburn for me...but when i was in the nursing home

I just wanted to take the time to wish everyone a good holiday. I especially would like to thank this website and the folks that run it and keep it going. I had a few IV doses after my ileostomy surgery, but with everything else going on I can't remember. I see that oral Pepcid can cause both diarrhea and constipation!
