Hi everyone, I have been having trouble with leakage recently and would appreciate any advise. I had my bladder and prostate removed in October 2018 after bladder cancer had penetrated my bladder wall. I xperimented with numerous urostomy bags finallly settling on Hollister bags (I think they are convex), and I use "O" rings and flange extenders. I went for some time with only the occasional leak, sometimes not changing my bag for 5 days! I have a fairly large incisional hernia whic( was caused by the operation, which has been getting bigger all the time and recently I was advised (by a professional) to change to mouldable bags. I went through 3 bags in 3 days and then gave up and went back to my original Hollister bags. I've had a couple of leaks since but have just managed 4 days before changing without having a leak. I don't seem to be able to wear any hernia support belts as they squeeze the bag and cause even more leaks...........! Have any of you experienced the same problems and if so, have you discovered a solution? I would really appreciate your help.

Best wishes

I don't have an urostomy but I use Hollister supplies. When I have had problems I have called them and spoke to their ostomey nurse. And they would send samples. Good luck and stay safe

I like MAO because i learn new things from others sharing what they use.

I use only hollister and I wear a hernia belt that fits my flange and I change mine out every seven days. I could keep it on longer but since I don't have any leaks I just keep at the seven days. Hope this helps you in some way
