Hi

My name is Angie. I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer a year and a half ago. I then had a a colon resection to remove the tumour. Since then I have had a temporary illiostomy. I just had another major colon surgery a year and a half after I got the bag as the surgeon accidentally stapeled some of the tumor cells back inside my colon 😳 that was a month ago. I am healing well and feeling positive now that all the cancer has been removed. I am set now to have my reversal surgery in two months. I would love to hear from some other peeps who have had a similar senerio..as the drs are Making life after the reversal seem a little scary.

I'd be scared too if "the surgeon accidentally stapeled some of the tumor cells back inside my colon..."  The guy sounds like a butcher and I'd seriously consider seeing an experienced medical malpractice attorney.  Good luck to you.

This group has been my go-to during my loneliest hours whenever I've had a "bag blowout" at 3am and there was no one else in the world to talk to.

Because it's a global community, there's always someone here to lend an ear, provide advice, and just hold my hand if that's all I need.

Sure, there's also a lot of camaraderie, fun topics, and laughs, but the main reason I come here is for the total acceptance I get from the members. No one else on the planet could possibly "get" what I'm going through, not even my loving husband or supportive family.

The "Meet an Ostomate" forum is definitely a one-of-a-kind family, which I am very proud to belong to.
