Received this from my ostomy nurse today. Please, anyone within the state of NY, sign so this can get passed. If you are not familiar with this bill, please click on this link; it explains it there, and the petition can also be signed there. I am fortunate that my insurance company pays most of my monthly costs; however, there are a lot of people who have lost coverage.

Hi nbaker. Thank you for sending this post. Even though I live in NJ, my secondary insurance is covered through NYS Civil Service. Unless we act in our own best interest, we will someday be left in the cold. For politicians, the squeaking wheel gets the oil; and it's about time our needs, particularly those of younger ostomates, got some attention. So far, I am happy that Medicare takes reasonably good care of us old folks, but my heart goes out to all the young people who must pay a fortune for supplies that cost only pennies to produce. Let's make more noise on our own behalf. PB
