How can I get a support group going in Rhode Island? It seems like they stopped during COVID and never restarted. I've been getting nothing but the runaround. They have every support group imaginable for sometimes the most ridiculous things. I'm sorry, I just feel that I could help people, and everywhere I turn it's a dead end.

Contact the person who ran the old one or contact the UOAA at UOAA.org. They can help you get one going or restart the old one.

lovely

I have learned a lot from this site. People are willing to share things that has worked for them,  Things like supplies, skin care, different surgeies, blockages, and a lot more.

Why not speak to stoma nurses in your area about it? They are the health care professionals supporting patients post-surgery who can feel isolated. I gave my stoma nurse the link for this site, and she does promote it to her patients.

Good luck and carry on with your goal!

Thank you, Will. I have, and they couldn't help, but I reached out to UOAA and someone reached right out to me.

Hi, I am also in RI. I used to go to the Ostomy clinic across from Miriam, but she retired. If anything comes together in RI, I would be interested.
