I have learned a lot from this site. People are willing to share things that has worked for them,  Things like supplies, skin care, different surgeies, blockages, and a lot more.

Hubz says he hasn't had any difficulty urinating. He has had a colostomy since August.

It could be that you're still getting over the pain and swelling from the operation. If it continues, go see the doctor.

I did. I do. But I'm an ileo.

Did they do anything to your rectum? Remove it? It could be, as said above, trauma from surgery—swelling. How was the operation done? Robotic or open?

Alex T. will tell you, like he told me a few years back, the story. Sit tight, though. It's likely gonna pass. Over time.

Did you have the Barbie/Ken butt surgery? If so, see your doctor.

No problem. I have a colostomy, three years.

Ileostomy yes, I've had more surgeries than I can remember. I had problems after most of them; either I couldn't go or couldn't stop. Always temporary for me. If problems continue, speak to the doctor about it.

Well... there you have it.

It's been discussed here a while ago. I also started a topic on this.

I feel if the rectum has been removed, regardless of assurance from the doctor, urination becomes an issue.

Alex T said to me then, and I say to you, see a doctor. Get Flomax. It works. It will restore the flow and stop the dribble. 👍
