Hi, Yesterday when I burped my bag I was unable to snap it back in. The plastic part on the wafer where the bag connects to it started to come apart. I had to do a complete appliance change. Does this happen to anyone? Are all ostomy supplies the same quality? My ostomy nurse actually put that bag on for me the other day. I noticed that the product number for the wafer was different than the ones I use. Do you think what she had was not as good?

I use Hollister products and never had that problem.

I'd say the top tier of ostomy supply companies are probably very close in quality. Not sure I'd trust ostomy supplies from Temu. 🤷‍♂️ Just because your nurse used a different bag doesn't mean it's worse, might have just been a random defective bag. You changed it, it's over now, move on about your day and enjoy.

I've used Hollister 2 piece for 2 years.  Burp bag all the time.  Never had any issues.  Bag flange always snaps back in and maintains a seal.

I have a colostomy with output that's rarely liquid.  Resulting in less stringent sealing requirements for me.

I also use a Hollister 2 piece.  I have a colostomy and my output is liquid quite often.  Like Beachboy, I burp my bag all the time and haven’t had any problem with the flange snapping back.
