Oh my, the dreaded stomach flu going around has decided I need another day off work. Weird having a colostomy with this. My bag never fills at night, so when I woke up at 1:30 with one filled so full I thought it would explode before I made it to the bathroom, I knew something was up.
Since then, it's been nonstop. I'm having colonoscopy prep flashbacks. If TMI, sorry!
I wondered what it would be like to get a stomach bug since my surgery. Now I know.
Some things are better left unknown.🤣
It's the last thing you feel like doing, but keep your fluid intake high; the more that comes out, the more you need to drink.

You are correct, adding anything to my stomach right now is definitely the last thing I want to do. But I've been sipping water and Gatorade alternately.
Hope it's only the 24-hour bug.

Yes, it's the pits. I have had it already. Mine lasted 3 days. I hope you feel better.
Colostomies and ileostomies must be different. I do have output but not urgent enough to make me get out of bed. I just burp my bag and hope for the best.
