Hello everyone! I am about two and a half months post-surgery, and I have just developed a small parastomal hernia. The thing is, I get a lot of leaks around the stoma because Veronica (my stoma) retracts when I lay down. Convex wafers are the only solution I've found for this. Does anyone else wear convex wafers with a hernia? Any problems from it?

I wear convex wafers with both my ostomies. My colostomy has a small hernia, and it isn't causing any problems. That stoma also has a habit of retracting whenever it is about to spew, which is why it needs convexity.

I'd say go for it.
