I had my stoma two years ago and have been wearing a stoma belt to keep the bulge under the stoma flat. All good. But now my inguinal hernia has started playing up after long walks (5K or more). My GP and two surgeons all recommend no surgery and suggest an inguinal hernia belt or underwear. So now I need to wear both belts! Any recommendations as to what inguinal belt (one side) would be most effective when worn with my existing stoma hernia belt?

Thanks.

Belts will be a hassle. But they are easier than repair surgery.

I wear a Nu-Hope hernia support belt over my colostomy. It helps keep my parastomal hernia from getting worse.

If I was a relative newbie with an ostomy, I have no doubt that this site would be very helpful to me.  The members are quick to respond to questions and issues and they are filled with experience.  When I joined, I already had a lifetime with an ostomy, so I just regard it as a place to meet and communicate with other folks similarly situated.  Either way, it is a good site.
