Hi
Doesn't sound right to me.
You don't say how long this problem lasts for or how often it happens? Do you get any pain with it? Have you been eating some thing not tried before?
If it happens alot and you can't put it down to any food then you should go to your stoma nurse and let her see what it could be. Gee07

New ostomate, we’ve all gone through feeling low and depressed over your ostomy.
This is a pretty open group. Right now, in summer, it’s a low response time—lots of family things going on. If you need something, call out. Someone dealing with your situation will post something sooner or later.
It’s just that time of year.
Take care, and good luck.

Hi Airforce,
You sound a little down don't be as there are other things that can be tried. If they think it is a hernia a lot of people do live ok with them and some I've seen can be very large. A few products out I know for hernia's. I had one in 2005 and I had it removed. As my tummy had a lot of scars inside from previous op's meant I had a new stoma made and put on my left side too.I dread the thought of getting another and do try to not lift heavy objects, etc.
So are you going back to see a Doctor, if your stoma nurse thinks it could be a hernia?
Take care.
