I just thought I would let you know that I have entered a video contest for Convatec. I have posted it once before, but after Hurricane Sandy hit, Convatec (who are located in New Jersey) were having some technical difficulties, and voting was closed. They have since reopened it, and I ask you again to please go take a peek at my video and please vote for me.

I feel that even if it inspires one person, I have done my job!!

Angelica- As usual, you've written another interesting post. February 5th, 2019, was my reversal surgery after having an ileo for 6 months. I'm one of those fortunate success stories. Of course, things are different now, and I still have to be careful about what and how much I eat, as I don't have a colon. At first, I was afraid to leave the house. My biggest fear was having to use a public bathroom and have the toilet not flush! Even now, when I know that I'll be in someone else's home, I won't eat anything beforehand. I read other people's stories and sometimes feel guilty for having had it so easy, not to mention that I have a significant other who is 100 percent supportive. I've gotten so much out of this website and truly feel for those of you who have it so much worse than I. But I feel it necessary to let folks hear about the success stories.

Great work budd002 — I have a suggestion that might be invalid; however, here it is just in case:
I don't know how Convatec intends to use the winning video, but they may be concerned about copyright issues for the beautiful Vangelis music used in yours. Some musicians object to their music being used in creative videos while others don't mind, especially if the name of the song/artist is mentioned.
If there still is enough time, perhaps you could re-submit a copy giving a credits nod to Vangelis, and/or use copyright free music (in one section of the Vancouver library, there's a large collection of copyright free music for film makers, and maybe a library in your area woud have a similar collection).
I would love to see your video win, and you definitely have already done your job as you've inspired me!

Just an update on the contest. I won!! I received my iPad on Friday. I, of course, have only had it in my hands for about 20 minutes total... My wonderful kids have been so kind to set it up for me and test it out to ensure it's working properly, lol.
ConvaTec hasn't decided how best they want to use it yet; they are discussing it now...
