Help!  How can I make a flat wafer into a convex wafer?  I have tried to build it up, but then my stoma does not protrude enough an it leaks under the wafer.  Results, red, blistered skin!  Thanks!

Stoma seal, then an eakin may work. I know a girl on facebook that did that.
the seal can give your skin some protection, thou your wafer may still fall off. I know another girl that did seal, paste around edge then wafer.
I feel your difficulties.

After I got my ostomy I found this site and got a lifetime membership. I have had so much help from the core members, things that even the wound care nurses didn't know. If you haven't been through this journey you don't know - only the people that have experienced this first hand truly understand what your going through. The support is enormously helpful getting through this. Afterwards when you start to learn how to deal with this new normal you can begin to help others.  ...mtnman.

did you try contacting the maker of your brand and ask for a few free samples??

convex flanges are preformed in that shape and i dont believe you will sucessful in doing that at home.

Hi,  I use a convex flange from convatec, it is already shaped and works well for me, you can still fill in any spaces with paste. Good luck.     Maggie
