Hi all,

I noticed this morning that I have a discolored area at the opening of my ileostomy;  it is a small brown/gray area (not discolored from any residual output)

There is no pain or any other issue.

Any thoughts??

Thanks

hi shash i would contact your doctor or surgeon and have them take a look at it, if your stoma isnt a beefy red color it isnt getting a good blood supply.  good luck

Ron,

Yes, that is what I was thinking.  I will give the surgeon a call tomorrow.

It is very strange as the whole stoma is beefy red except for that one small spot;  a  definite change!

Best

Well Shash,

What did the doctor say? Did you need a prescription or any medication? Is everything ok? Keep us in the light!
