hi. i had reversal surgery on august 22 and ive noticed that the packing inside the wound is coming out lime green. I dont have an infection and I dont have a fever. The packing is soaked in saline solution before I put it in the wound. Also, the packing is a bit bloody when I remove the gauze. Is this normal?

Hello Maryblue. I have no idea whether this is normal and I hope you get some rapid replies to your post.

However pretty lime green and blood red may seem on an artists pallet, it doesn't sound right to me coming from a wound. I think, that for my own peace of mind, I would be asking this question of the medics sooner rather than later.

I hope it turns out to be nothing to worry about but please let us know either way.

Best wishes

Bill
