If your colostomy is emptying the same time everyday, why irrigate? Steve

Hello honestabe. A very good question you ask and it seems to be one that nicely illustrates the vast differences between people and their experiences when it comes to stomas. I have not read any previous posts which indicate that individuals  can get away with only emptying once a day unless they irrigate so I presume that there are many others, like myself, who found that continuously having to empty a bag was time consuming, messy and inconvenient (excuse the pun). Irrigation is a choice I am very grateful to have had, which allows me to achieve what you have described as emptying at the same time every day. If I could achieve that without irrigation, then my life would be correspondingly much easier.

Best wishes

Yeah wow, this site helped so much, I mean really who do you know with this infliction? No one, felt so alone and disgusted by myself every turn.
But it ended up being so damn strengthening, I got fucking moving, really only another choice.
That's

Truth
I was damaged by a procedure and ended waking with this, I understand all of you.. perhaps you had to have it, I get it.. doesn't matter either way.
Just wanted to share that
