Hi I am looking to get a reversal of my milestone.  I was wondering if anyone was in the same boat as me.  I have seen a couple of surgeons but have a hard time making up my mind.  I am so scared of the surgery.

Hi,

My name is Marsha, and I 've had my ileostomy for more than 50 years, since I was a child.  My original doctors had both passed aaway, and when I found myself with an emergency ( erupted ulcer uncer the stoma) I called  a nephrologist I used at NYC  Weill Cornell Medical center.   That was Ira Jacobson, and he sent me a surgeon on staff at the hospital.   i did a search for you, but couldn't find either of them there.   There have been a lot of changes, and merges with other hospitals, and staff moves on, but I was quite impressed with the quality of care, and the doctors & staff at Weill Cornell ...   That's the best I can do.   I may need a revision for my ostomy, so I'll be searching for a doctor as well.   Best of luck to you.

Marsha

My husband's ostomy nurse recommended the site two years ago. The help and recommendations they have given us is invaluable.

Hi,   I found Dr. Jacobson ( Nephrologist) / liver Dr.  He's world reknwown, in his field, and even though I saw a specialist in Philadelphia, she encouraged me to see Dr. jacobson.  ( for advanced liver disease/ from transfusions).    He's the one that recommended the surgeon I went to .
