I have had severe abdominal pain right around my stoma and diarrhea for 5 weeks now. Went to GI was sent to ER because he thought I had a blockage. They did CT and shows nothing. Back to GI and they did endoscopy. Nothing but really red and inflamation. Then I started having yellow mucas discharge from stoma followed by watery diarrhea and swollen stoma. Saw surgeon, he said that was normal. I am still having the same problems. Have only been eating dry toast and drinking fluids. Yesterday had same problem severe pain followed by diarrhea and it is still going on. Has anyone else had this. I have only had my colostomy for 6 months and still have not gotten the proper help on what to eat. Surgeon says no restrictions. Ostomy nurse said no raw veggies, salads, nuts, beans, fruits with seeds or skin. I tried eating beans and they came out whole. My vitamin levels are low due to vitamin being in bag. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you

My husband's ostomy nurse recommended the site two years ago. The help and recommendations they have given us is invaluable.
