Does anyone know about diversion proctitis after colostomy?

I had no diagnosis, but I think I had diversion proctitis after my colectomy.  I never had any pain with it, but I had a lot of mucos discharge and occasionally some blood with it.  I had already decided I was going to have a proctectomy in the future, so I just dealt with it until I had surgery.  If you have major concerns about it, talk to your surgeon.  They may suggest a suppository of some kind if neccesary.

I just wanted to take the time to wish everyone a good holiday. I especially would like to thank this website and the folks that run it and keep it going. This site has been a life saver for me and I am so thankful I found it. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and Hanukka and if you don't claim either holiday, I hope you have a nice day. See you all next year!

Thank you so much for telling me that.

Good to know I have a couple of options.  Surgery is a

Option.  Just not sure I can go through that

Again.

All the best to you.
