Clothing and Swimming with an Ostomy

Ok, I am having a heck of a time here. How do you guys out there wear jeans or slacks with a belt and your shirt tucked in? I have fought this long enough. I gotta know. I feel like a slob with oversized t-shirts worn outside my britches just to cover my bag, and tucking it in when I wear jeans and slacks with a belt just isn't working...

I've had my ileostomy since 8/21. There is still a lot to learn, but one area that I'm struggling with is clothing! I know it's really not earth-shattering in the grand scheme of life, but...I am a fashionista and I long for my normal clothes. 
I can't seem to wear anything non-stretch. Do I need to alter or buy a size up? Any advice?? 

     I wish I knew what to do in order to go swimming or attempt to go swimming with my kids in a swimming pool?.  I heard its best to go swimming only in the ocean or lake........that is one thing I would like to do

Has anyone tried wearing a bathing suit and going to the beach with an ileostomy? I'm trying to push myself to try new things but I am a little apprehensive about going to the beach. The bathroom issue concerns me, also will the saltwater damage my bag? Any suggestions/advice?

Hi, I've got my first holiday since surgery six months ago booked - going to Florida in a month or so. Most of the trip is based around watersports.

Are there any products I can get, like waistbands, bag covers, etc., that will keep my bag dry when swimming, or at least cover up my scars above the waistline of my shorts?

I've recently ordered a water proof Ileostomy belt cover, but it is not due to arrive until July 7-28. Can't wait to get back into the pool again. Is it okay to swim with just the appliance in place, heard they are waterproof, with hydro colloid strips in place?  And can a hair dryer be used to dry it afterwords?

I have used the Hollister band when I first got my ileostomy, since than I have bought a few Steathbelts, one horizontal, and my go to the vertical one. Here recently bought a vertical one that was meant for working/ exercising… not very happy with it as the zipper goes across the stoma and its a bitch to get the bag out to drain. When I first got my bag of tricks there was no one I could find that knew a thing ... no ostomy nurse ... nothing.  My first belt was the elastic part of a back brace ... cut it off and threw away the rest of the new brace.  It was only 3" wide so it didn't cover the whole bag and was a little to heavy.  
Then I tried a cumberbun from a formal mens wear store ... that was something trying...

Has anyone tried the stealth belts? How do they work? The ostomy bag has to be horizontal - is that a problem? I had never thought to put it anywaqy but vertical. The web site states how one can do water sports and all kinds of things with this stealth belt.

I was reading some older posts on hernia belts. Is it a good idea to wear one from the start? Will it prevent one from happening? I had my surgery in March 2020 and my stoma nurse never mentioned it. But it sounds like it is the worst to get a hernia.

My nurse put me in an ostomy belt and I find it very uncomfortable…what are the reasons for a belt…any advice would be appreciated
