Possible blockage from swallowing olive - need advice!

This topic is about a person who accidentally swallowed a whole olive and was concerned it might cause a blockage in their ostomy. They reached out to others for advice on what to do next. Here are some helpful insights and advice shared by the community:

- Stay calm. A single small olive, even if it has a pit, is unlikely to cause a blockage.
- Drink plenty of fluids and continue with your normal daily activities to help the olive move through your system.
- It's normal for high-fiber or hard foods that aren't chewed well to come out of the stoma unchanged. To prevent this, make sure to chew your food very thoroughly.
- Most of the time, worries about small items causing blockages don't come true, so it's important to stay reassured.
