This is me now.

Guessing they would fine me for extended bathroom breaks.

Actually not, "All healed up."

Was scheduled for my reversal January 20th. Canceled the morning of due to the previous day's CT scan showing a possible abscess. Gastro has no clue why white count is up. Infectious disease doctor has me on oral antibiotics for 6 weeks.

Went to a urologist. All clear.

Went to a GYN, all clear.

Still have odd discharges. No one can figure it out.

Yeah a year ago I wouldn't have known what to ask to find out I had a parastomal hernia. The only reason I knew about them is from this site. Thank goodness for this site. Otherwise I would still be clueless. If I hadn't though from stuff on here to ask my surgeon about having a hernia, then I would have never had the CT and I would have never known that she should have known about it a year ago.

My gastroenterologist is my surgeon. Same.

Very helpful

Only 8 months post-op? You need time to adjust. It took me 3 years before I traveled out of state (in my car). 4 years before I rode on a jet. If you are having a lot of leaks or blowouts, see an ostomy nurse. Be kind to yourself and reward yourself constantly. Build confidence. Miraculously, I've had no leaks for over 18 months.
