Had Fistula Surgery Today

I had fistula surgery today. My surgeon took out the setons and cut open the fistula track. I have an incision in my butt that looks like a pothole hole. Thankfully I have an Ileostomy and no stool passes through there, so it should heal quicker. Does this cure the fistula? Can it come back after the incision closes? Anyone else gone through this surgery?

Don't know what to say in order not to be too descriptive. Fun it isn't and keeps me from leaving the house.
