Thanks for the welcome back. It is good to be back on the computer. I really didn't feel like it for several days, and now I am at least able to do it some. So that is good. I think maybe I am finally on the mend. Although my stoma was very naughty this morning and went under my wafer and pooped really big and made a mess all over the floor, my sock, the sink, and everywhere. I was not best pleased. But at least he's working. Working stomas are a good thing, even if they make a mess.

You are right; being home is the best place to recover. Hospitals are no place to be!

Yeah, I absolutely hate NG tubes. It's traumatic. Getting them in and then when they rip them out, it hurts my throat.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a good day overall. I enjoyed my pizza. So did my stoma, I think, as it spit out lots of poop from it and went under my wafer to do it. Silly little thing.

Thank you. It was a good birthday. I am not too steady on my feet yet for very long, but I am definitely doing better than I was.

Happy Birthday, Lee. I am so glad you're home now. I think the air pockets will clear up. Lee, try to get some healthy foods in. You could try juicing them. You have been through so much. Take care of yourself.

I get that! At the same time, when I went in for my blockage, I really wished they had put in an NG tube sooner since I was throwing up poop for days!

I got some baby food veggie and fruit pouches to get some added nutrition. It will get some veggies in me and some fruits in me too. I am still struggling to eat well. Lots of Jell-O still and lots of ramen noodles. But I did have orange chicken yesterday, and it went okay. So I am building on the Jell-O. I am getting more normal foods, starting to get away from the ramen noodles. I am going to try ground turkey tacos today. See how that goes. Hopefully, it won't be too hard on my digestive system.

I threw up for days before I went back to the hospital. If it wasn't for my mom deciding I was just throwing up too much and was probably getting dehydrated, I would have been back in the hospital. She was the one who took me to the ER. And we had to drive to another city to get to one. And she sat with me till after midnight waiting for me to get a room in the hospital. It was right after she left that they were like, "NG tube now." I just knew it was coming, though. I knew as soon as I got to the ER that that was what they were going to do to me.

Happy birthday, babe. I feel for you; we don't have it easy, do we? Us double stoma buddies, keep your great attitude; that's all we can do. Get well soon. Big hugs and love. xx

I am on ramen and broth too; the only thing that doesn't cause severe pain. Big love.

Hi Lee,

I hope things are settling down for you. It's still early days, I guess, but it would be good to know you have a steady course ahead of you.

Kind thoughts
