That's exactly what I use, a mini binder clip. It works just fine.

Just use soap and water. I keep them very clean. I use the mini binder clips.

Try Hollister. I use the premier convex. No leaks! You must ensure that you have the two pieces of Velcro properly aligned. Sometimes just a minor shift makes the difference.

This group has been my go-to during my loneliest hours whenever I've had a "bag blowout" at 3am and there was no one else in the world to talk to.

Because it's a global community, there's always someone here to lend an ear, provide advice, and just hold my hand if that's all I need.

Sure, there's also a lot of camaraderie, fun topics, and laughs, but the main reason I come here is for the total acceptance I get from the members. No one else on the planet could possibly "get" what I'm going through, not even my loving husband or supportive family.

The "Meet an Ostomate" forum is definitely a one-of-a-kind family, which I am very proud to belong to.

I use Hollister 2 piece. I have a loop ileostomy, and sometimes they leak because there are two vents. I also think that it depends on your output and how many times a day you have to empty. I had my surgery 15 months ago, and it just leaked one time from the Velcro closure, so that's why I use a mini binder clip. I feel safer that way, and I don't have to worry anymore if it were to happen again because it is messy.
