After my reversal which was a success, I developed a hernia at the incision. I hopefully will have surgery soon for removal. Is there anything I should in the meantime.

Congratulations on the reversal.  I hope it works out well for you. I had to turn one down because there was too great of a chance for issues I don't want afterward.

Nervous but excited about tomorrow. I have been reading some of the threads here and am brand new to the site. I am grateful to have had the ileostomy so my body had a chance to heal but am truly hoping all goes well with the operation and future.

I have a collapsed disk in my back and sleeping on it for the past 7 months because of the bag has caused me constant daily excruciating pain. I haven't slept through the night and have had so many accidents.

I am so glad I found this site. Gained so much information so I am much better prepared for what happens post operation and what worked for people diet and supplement (fiber) wise. Thank you for that.

Hello terrifl2637, They do make hernia prevention belts. I like both Nu-Hope and coloplast Brava ostomy support belt. I would suggest getting measured by your ostomy Nurse. They should be aware of them both. Also be very careful what you lift, because that could be the direct cause of why. Please consider do Pelvic floor exercises( I am not being kinky) These will help build up your weakened abdomen area.

Best of Luck
