Anyone having leakage from Velcro closure Convatec pouches?

If you are referring to the new one “The redesigned InvisiClose” YES
tried it twice and both times it leaked at each side of the Velcro closure 🫣fail!

Hubz had a regular checkup with the oncologist on Friday (his numbers are improving), and as they were asking how he's feeling since surgery, they became curious about how he's doing so well with his ostomy, both physically and mentally. He credited doing research online, trying different things, and especially the support from this group. They were asking because they see so many patients struggling to adjust.
We described this group as folks with every kind of ostomy, some for days while others for decades, but all willing to share what's worked for them with the caveat that every individual is different.
We described the most valuable element as feeling like you're not alone in this. That really piqued their interest, and they wrote down the link. It seems they had a few people in mind that might benefit from the community and thanked us for telling them about it.
You know, we can't remember exactly who we learned about this group from, but we're grateful for it every day! Thank you all! 🌻

It's funny you ask.I just changed mine today and noticed it leaked down by the velco after I untucked it to empty it. So far the new bag hasn't done the same thing.So maybe it's just a defect in the bag that happens once in a while. 🤷♀️

Hi Y’all! You are all correct! The invisiclose is a nightmare and an accident waiting to happen. Do not buy these pouches please. I have called Convatec to let them know my displeasure and they said they are getting lots of complaints! They used to have a Velcro closed pouch that had two security closes and discontinued the item and replaced it with Invisiclose. It was a terrible decision and I let them know it. I had been using double security pouches without any problem for over 20 years and I do not use Convatec anymore. Any company that ignores multiple complaints about an item will lose my confidence and money! Mike
