I've had a bag for about two years now an had the first part of the reversal (the pouch) just over a year ago.  Gone through lots of pain, but can't be connected as of yet, due to an abcess that has formed in the pouch, been flushed out loads of times, which is painful in itself.  looks like the pouch has failed, but surgeon still trying.  Is there anyone out there, who has suffered in the same way and if. so any advice ?

I wish you luck—my doctor told me my ileostomy is permanent and I would only develop abscesses and ulcers in a J-pouch—he said Crohn's and J-pouches would not be a good mix long term—I hope you fare better than that—Take care!

MeetAnOstoMate is an awesome group of people, going through similar issues. There is always someone who has information to contribute. I've been a basic member for years, just now decided to bump up to premium. Huge wealth of knowledge and support here, these people are great.

Hi Lee,
Am a neighbouring ostomate and read your post with great concern, I do not have this option as my surgery was irreversible but can empathise, not sure how I could usefully advise but if you would like to share further or maybe even meet up to talk I would be more than happy for us to get in touch. My husband is an ostomate too.I live in Morpeth and am a registered nurse.
Whatever, Lee, contact for a chat to talk this through any time.
