Hi, I'm new to this, but I have a slight problem... I've had an ileostomy for 13 years, but I still have a stump left in case I could have it all reversed. I've now found out I can't, as I still have colitis in the stump. My doctor told me I would need this removed within 10 years of my operation, as the stump will start dying off since there is no nourishment going through it. I am now worried sick, as it's been 13 years, and every time I talk to someone about this, they tell me there is no rush. So, as you can see, I'm very confused with the whole thing. So please, can someone help me out? With thanks...

I just wanted to take the time to wish everyone a good holiday. I especially would like to thank this website and the folks that run it and keep it going. This site has been a life saver for me and I am so thankful I found it. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and Hanukka and if you don't claim either holiday, I hope you have a nice day. See you all next year!
