Hello fellow ostomates, I am heading into surgery to have my j-pouch removed; wish I had never tried this procedure. It has never worked and now it is infected. Life is good though, I have a positive outlook and it will be better that it's gone.

I did what you are doing 2 years ago. After the surgery DO NOT exert yourself AT ALL or you might end up with an unsightly and uncomfortable hernia.

Thanks for the advice, Itchy. I do not want a hernia.
