Here's to wishing my stoma a happy 6th anniversary. On this date 6 years ago, I got my permanent stoma. It has been a long and unforgiving 6 years, but I am ever grateful to have survived cancer and to still be alive. :)

You are like me: cancer survivor and stoma. Chemo, you know. 2014 I'm a harvest moon. October. I lived 1 year with pain. Talk about PTSD. The slim fit thing takes over. Then the getting back to a regular timing. Same thing, different country. Jerz from Baltimore one.

Hello and welcome to meet an ostomate. The site charges a fee only for Full Membership, you can still interact with members here via the forums and the public chat room with free membership. The site charges a fee since it has expenses ... as do all websites, people have to spend their time to run and maintain the site, buy bandwith, servers, and other things. I am a life member here, it cost me 56$....about the price of 1 cup of coffee a week for a year. I think that is a very small charge for such a big reward. In my opinion this site is the best ostomy-related web site on the net. I hope you will stick around awhile and see for yourself. You sound like you have the right attitude! We have to remember that we are lucky to be alive. Beating cancer is wonderful news, and 6 years is even better! I'm in my 3rd year, and I'm delighted. Take care of yourself, and here's to many more years to come! 🎉
