Defective Colostomy Pouches from New Hope - Need Advice

Hi, I have a colostomy and I can't use adhesive products as they irritate my skin. I felt lucky to find New Hope products, and when there are no manufacturer cuts in the pouches, they work great with good seals. The extended wear allows me to change once a week. I received a couple of boxes with cuts in them; New Hope replaced one. I got another box with cuts in them and I have emailed and called multiple times with no reply. The pouches go on fine, but as they warm up from being on, and the integrity of the pouch has to hold anything, it gives way. Suggestions? I hate to change products; it took me so long to find this. Should I complain to a state or federal oversight organization, as someone suggested? Thanks.

When you can't seem to get answers, look up the CEO of this company, and write him a letter. Tell him that you love his company or her company, but you're having this issue. I always tell them that I have a very big mouth. I can either talk extremely positively about them or negatively. Even better if you can get a phone number. If you don't want to email the CEO, email the human resources person or the head of customer service. Good luck! Jeanne.

Because it's a global community, there's always someone here to lend an ear, provide advice, and just hold my hand if that's all I need.

Sure, there's also a lot of camaraderie, fun topics, and laughs, but the main reason I come here is for the total acceptance I get from the members. No one else on the planet could possibly "get" what I'm going through, not even my loving husband or supportive family.
